My mass has just been effected

It's done. Finished. Shepard's final encounter with the Reapers was a success.
The ending didn't quite have the resonance I was looking for though; I did, unfortunately, lose four people on the way who, for discretion's sake, will remain anonymous. A quick glance through the achievement list showed me that you can, in fact, make it through the final stretch with all team members intact; however, because of self-imposed rules about consequence in RPGs, I chose to face those decisions and not re-load the save.
What of the game as a whole? There's certainly things I would change, things I have already discussed; the large roster of characters, too few missions outside of the main story considering the number of planets available for scanning, the scanning itself, while better than the Mako missions of the original, is too frequent and, as such, begins to grate towards the end, and Shepard's seeming disinterest in the plight of those around him thanks to a monotonous piece of voice work.
Criticism aside it's a fine game. The pacing is superb; I never once felt like I'd been somewhere for too long, and even extended sequences were made better by some amazing area design; probably my favourite aspect of the entire experience.
I feel as though I've exhausted my discussion of the quality of Mass Effect 2; putting 30 hours into it over the past 3 weeks or so is testament to how much it grabbed me. Anything that can stop me endlessly watching episodes of Community, Mad Men and 30 Rock must be good.
